(41,751 posts)Jesus, who Texas leaders don't know, was the first to proclaim the separation of church and state, so he'd totally endorse this clever posting/not posting, and he'd say it's the Texas leaders who need to ask for forgiveness, not the teacher.

(35,195 posts)I live south of Houston. And they definitely will push her out if they want to (and it will begin with some kid telling his "Christian" mom who has connections about it - and then it will gather speed). The thing is they are very good at pushing people out, and they will make up whatever reason they want.
I love her heart, but I also hope she hasn't bitten off more than she can chew. It is rough down here.

(30,617 posts)can I do, in my daily life and work to stand on the side of right?
This is the only way we can make it out of this. All of us, standing up in our own ways and lives where we can - for right.

(127,096 posts)genitalia as a sexist synonym for courage. And this is AFTER you imply that the OP is a liar.
So disappointing to see that sort of thing here.
(* Just so there is no confusion, this particular sexist bs is an ongoing problem. Your post is merely the latest.)

The papers on either side of the mythological propaganda are 8½x11", straight from the printer. The poster is 16x20".
Why are you doing this?

(3,729 posts)It is a photo of her ACTUAL bulletin board. I would not claim she put it up in her classroom if she hadnt. That poster was one the state sent to her school.

(26,572 posts)A Federal Judge blocked it back in late August. The only reason she would need to post it is if her School District ordered her to do so - and if so, I would complain as a parent.

I guess your daughter is not one of the larger ISDs. She has my sympathy.
If they post it at my kid's school, the odds of it being vandalized within a day are extremely high.

After all, the Constitution doesn't say people can't pray, it says Congress shall make no law....

(53,715 posts)If parents complain she will be nailed. That's how it works. I taught for over 15 years and I knew that my passive aggressive nature could get me into trouble if I blatantly showed my hatred for the GOP.
When ever it was Presidents' Day no GOP POTUS had their picture on any of my bulletin boards. I did a lot of subtle acts of defiance. I never got caught.
Trueblue Texan

(53,715 posts)up but cover them with some sort of poster when any administrator is threatening to come and visit her classroom. Or I would cover them with a digital projector screen that can be pulled down quickly. I have experience. I was always getting harassed by the admin since I was the union rep at my site.
