Dr. Ned Calonge, chief medical officer for the CO Dept of Public Health, issued a âstanding orderâ allowing anyone to receive the updated COVID-19 vaccines. The FDA approved updated vaccines, but the ACIP hasnât taken action and won't meet until mid-Sept.

So how is that going to work?

(11,730 posts)3. It's a little more complicated than just an age limit
People who are "at risk" can also get it. Lots of grey area in that definition.
I would suggest that living in a country run by anti-vaxxers puts everyone "at risk".

(52,234 posts)2. Pharmacy told me today they'll know more in a couple weeks.
They claim to have no vaccines, and said Covid-flu will NOT be a combo shot.

(127,968 posts)5. I think the GOP was talking about that. From the article:
CVS and Walgreens announced last week that their Colorado locations would only provide COVID-19 vaccines to people who presented a prescription. The state allows pharmacists to give vaccines only when the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions immunization advisory committee recommends them. Fifteen other states have a similar requirement.
