Is it "crazy" to want tRump destroyed before he destroys the USA?

Last edited Fri Oct 10, 2025, 12:17 AM - Edit history (1)

I know he already IS destroying our democracy (James Carville says it best) but I'd like to know if the desire to destroy him personally is crazy or not. Are anti--tRump activists wanting to stop him and his continued destruction considered "insane" or "sane"? Are we "over reacting"?

Pro-tRumpers are using this tactic more and more. Are they gaslighting us? Are we being realistic, informed and current regarding this nightmare or are we "over reacting and too extreme" when we express our realistic concerns right now??? tRump, Miller, etc must be stopped ASAP. Is this a crazy "desire" for normalcy?

I was accused of this today and I am super pissed off (and I live in a Blue city). Usually I get support but this is a new issue and I am NOT happy about it.

****On edit: After viewing the replies to my OP I would like to say THANK YOU!!! I've been in tears for 30 minutes over this issue. It really hurt me. I know I'm passionate but this really threw me on a personal level. I feel better now.

He is a psychotic murderer, and traitor to his oath and country. He could care less about any of us--just money and his enormous ego.

We are all missing normalcy, peace, and quiet right now.

It is derangement to ignore the obvious, which is how they live every day,

The plot is clear as crystal

And by the way, he IS the Antichrist, by well-documented measures.

It was both good and bad. It made me get teary....I can't stop the tears. I need a Xanax the size of a football!

I am not crazy and I actually am thinking clearly and realistically (good!!!) and THANK YOU!!!

But I am scared shitless since this is so enormous and it IS happening but so few see it as it really is.

I can sort of understand why people do not believe this is happening right now. It's too awful and it seems like it is from an old Communist playbook from the 1950s. It doesn't "seem" to be a possible realty to Americans in 2025. The desire to hide their heads in the sand must have been what some Germans felt like in 1935. The Germans who were realistic did what they could to get the hell out of there, leaving homes, family, friends, businesses, etc. I do not think Americans in 2025 are accepting the writing on the wall. I feel like an outcast due to this. It's extremely disheartening but your reply and posts are burned into my mind as I try to sleep tonight. How can anyone sleep?

The "plot" post was written in May. and the "antichrist" is just stuff I found that reinforces his horrible hypocrisy.

I have written and saved a lot of material. It can be a bit much if posted and read at once.

THE POINT of getting all this out in the open is to PREVENT further incursions through awareness. Just like it is said that "1984" postponed "1984" for a long time.

I'm a sensitive person, and the little research I do is sometimes scary, I rely on Buddhist beliefs to hold me together in tough times. Yes, there is a core of goodness in us all, and all the hate and racism and denial we see is taught. And taught extremely well. I have a lot to say about that, but it borders on religion, so I don't post it here.

Taught as in propaganda by people who exploit others.

When I was young, I read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and it stuck with me. I see things in that perspective.

Not to read now, but here is the plan that all fascists use. It just creates and exploits division so as to "divide and conquer"

10 Small Steps: Executing the Fascist Playbook

The Fascists’ Playbook

And as a young person,I lived through civil rights, the Vietnam war and the many assassinations.
It felt like the whole world was crashing down, and that there was government war on young people.
And I'm white, so I saw and felt only a small part of all that.
I see things trough that multi-faceted lens.

Along with the harsh reality, also encouragement.

Disheartened? These people never gave up when faced with enormous obstacles.

So, there's heavy duty denial that goes along with cult membership, and the other kind of denial that goes along with not having lived through what our European friends and relatives went through.

I can't do very much as an individual, but I promote actions by Indivisible and NoKings, and that makes all the sense in the world to me. We do have organizations skilled in organizing and communicating. And that is the BEST advice I can give. I live alone in the middle of nowhere, and I am not giving up. Friends don't visit (by the way, the location is spectacular) nor do they even reply regularly to emails and messages. ¥es, there's a certain lethargy. I am planning to move anyway. I can't move mountains but I can move me (however tedious that can be).

Being "present" is important, whether it's in real life, or here on DU, and beating "isolation" by being among ACTIVE and engaged company, is important.

I have spent more time on the web than usual because I was below par last week and spent too much time indoors.
I limit reading the doomposts and go over to Hacker News for a breather,, and to get some really important news that's not entirely techie, or at least translate it if it's important stuff. (like the warning signs of regime collapse I shared in that Yarvin article).

It's "their" nature to blame and hate, and that has to divide them at some point. It's "our" nature to cooperate. If it seems that there's no organization, work with the organizations that are getting the message out, and kicking ass of leaders who need to be led.

Control what you can control.
Influence and encourage people that you can. Who doesn't need a boost?

You/We/I are not alone.

I will re-read them again and again in order to keep an even and hopefully positive perspective. My mother was a big reader, I'm not as much. I remember the book you mentioned in one of our huge bookshelves "The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich". It was big and black and I attempted to read it as a teenager but I think I should read it again, 50 years later.

I KNOW I will re-read all of your posts tonight and tomorrow, to keep my head straight. I need to read stuff several times since my comprehension is slow and I try very hard to understand what I am reading and "absorbing".

History makes me sad when I see it repeating itself, as most people do. But history is knowledge and I really do try to educate myself. It's a life long process but it seems that you and I are on the right track. I'm grateful for that, more than you know!

It's a superpower and like most superpowers it can be a curse.

Sounds like you know the value of living in a civil society which is stunted by dysfunctional behavior and that distresses you. You are NORMAL.

However, he's just a figurehead. Stephen Miller and Russell Vought are pulling the levers of power, under the guidance of Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and others of the richest few. And let's not forget Putin.

I do think that TSF's death will take the wind out of the sails of this particular movement, which is a good thing. I take comfort in knowing that there has always been a movement of some group of people who are trying to rule the world, and whichever group is active at any one time is only temporary.

It is possible to live a good life in spite of these people. But they certainly are destructive.
