NO. Sitting down is worst advice. Dangerous. Deadly. Good way to get trampled for severe injury risk.

If there is violence, just get the hell out. Bug out. Removing yourself from the scene is the best way to show you aren't participating.
Maintain situational awareness whenever in any crowd, concert, or protest. Keep a bug-out plan in mind and adjust it as conditions change. Watch all the exit points.
