He's got masked "brown shirts" running around the country, kidnapping people and putting them in jail without due process, and national guard troops in major cities terrorizing the general population.
This is his idea of peace.
He's also talking about having the military "train for war" on the streets of our cities.
He thinks this has no impact on getting the peace prize.
Peace prize, NO! POS prize, much better chance.

There are more breaks in the system and protections. We do need a return to not trying to go for unicorns and everyone over biasing towards "potential" over actual products, but those started long before Trump.

We globally know far more about the economy than in 1929 so that level of crash is almost certain to not happen again.

... which is how long it took the DOW to return to 08 peak after fall of about 50% value.

In that return to index parity the US spent trillions devaluing the currency so the bail out to mega rich weirdos wasn't "free"

On the other hand it does look like we're in a melt up

Even though elected MAGAts claimed they were back and """open for business""" in the summer/early fall of 2020, we know the country didn't really open back up until Biden took office in 2021 and his administration helped coordinate a successful roll out of the vaccine, which was what led Americans to finally feel safe to return to pre-COVID life.

When Trump was in office, the timeline for me getting my vaccine was September 2021 at the earliest; Biden took over and I was able to get my vaccine in either March or April, I can't remember which.

Thank you, Joe Biden!

PS - When did you get you're vaccine, WarGamer?

to make Trump look good.
The Dow was at 44500 when the Dolt took office, he then crashed it to the April low point you chose.
It is now at 45400. That is a 900 point gain since the festering boil took office. Or about 2% in 10 months.
And the bottom is a long way down.

It isn’t even a correction.

How soon we forget the big dive of last spring, which has since recovered and gained further.

Market volatility is a fact of life in the Trump era.

Just that morning an analyst had dumped cold water on the "irrational exuberance" case by saying that the rise has been "orderly", which it kind of has been since May after the April fall and recovery.

2.7 percent in one day is not an orderly temporary pause or pull back. It might turn out to be one or the other of those, but orderly it is not.

Not sure if it's a reliable source but the Blockchain record is a thing. Of course being unrealized gains doesn't inherently mean they are going to realize said gains because the market (crypto and otherwise) goes up and down.
