Trump's Gaza Plan is not yet a peace plan

The first phase is a cease fire and prisoner/hostage swap. Not much different than the ones done by Joe Biden and Biden-Trump jointly in January.

Now, if we get to the second phase and successfully complete all 20 points, then we have a successful peace plan, but let's not act like this is a done deal, because it's not.

A peace plan will take much more than ending the hostilities. Even successful completion of all 20 points of the cease fire agreement would not constitute a peace plan.

And this is one of the many reasons why Trump does not qualify for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Hamas will be disarmed, Netanyahu vows after ceasefire begins

Meanwhile, a senior Hamas official said Saturday that the group’s disarmament, one of the core conditions of Trump’s postwar agreement, is “out of the question.” Speaking anonymously to AFP, he said: “The demand that we hand over our weapons is not up for negotiation.”
