Guess who is now a Christian nation.

Papua New Guinea's parliament amends constitution to declare Christian identity
https://www.rnz.co.nz/international/pacific-news/544665/papua-new-guinea-declares-christian-identity-in-constitutional-amendment

Papua New Guinea's Parliament has passed a constitutional amendment formally recognising the nation as a Christian country.

The decision, made on Tuesday (March 12), saw an overwhelming majority of 80 votes in favour and only four against.

The amendment introduces a declaration in the preamble of the Constitution, stating: &quot We) acknowledge and declare God, the Father; Jesus Christ, the Son; and Holy Spirit, as our Creator and Sustainer of the entire universe and the source of our powers and authorities, delegated to the people and all persons within the geographical jurisdiction of Papua New Guinea."

In addition, Christianity will now be reflected in the Fifth Goal of the Constitution, and the Bible will be recognised as a national symbol.

Prime Minister James Marape, a vocal advocate for the amendment, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome.

"I am happy," he said.

"This constitutional amendment finally recognises our country as a Christian country. This reflects, in the highest form, the role Christian churches have played in our development as a country."

3. Every time some country becomes dominated by a religion that has always involved its believers in deadly combat

Surprise! That country usually ends up in deadly combat, either with other countries, or else within its own borders, against its own people. How odd, the people most eager to run the place and grab all the wealth tend to be the ones who KNOW that this is what their god wants, and everyone else had better believe it, leave or die. The ones with the money and the power just KNOW that God wants them to have both. God must have the worst IT team in the universe, because only about 150 religious "leaders" around the world seem to get his emails. At least, that's what they tell us, and they HAVE to be right because they get the word right from God. At least, that's what they tell us. They would be making up something as important as THAT would they?

We must respect the other fellows religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart. H.L. Mencken

You'd think by now that the big shot would have figured out how defend itself. And, manage his money rather than demand it from the gullible.

"You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, burning bushes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help?" Mark Twain
