— CA is the world’s fifth largest food producer
— produces the most milk
— produces the most wine
— copious amounts of rice & cattle
— 90 percent of all US avocados

— CA Hollywood $47.2 billion industry exerts immeasurable global power
— CA $623 billlion tech sector is mightier than its agriculture
— CA is home to the most active duty US military troops

Were CA to secede, 15% of the US GDP would go with it; the USA would
slip behind China as the world’ biggest economy.
If adjacent states were to secede as well, the drop in US GDP would obviously be greater,
and the US debt-to-GDP ratio obviously much higher than its current 120%

WHAT BLUE STATES CAN DO TO EXERT BLUE STATE FINANCIAL, MARKET, CULTURAL POWER & LEGAL AUTHORITY

Blue states have abundant wealth enough to lead a financial “countervalue” rebellion, using “the full weight of blue states’
market power, cultural influence and legal authority to raise stakes against Republican red-state aggression


15 blue trifecta states’ larger budgets & more generous pensions have state investments that total almost 75 percent more than 23 red trifectas; thus, blue states can and should

—disinvest our states’pension funds from red-state companies like AT&T, American Airlines, ExxonMobil, & Tesla
— lure away techies, doctors, nurses, and electricians with relocation bonuses
— institute tax and other incentives to pull new factories and data centers away from red states
— selectively terminate professional licensing reciprocity
— ease commerce & trade rules between friendly states, and
make commerce & trade rules difficult for unfriendly states

WHAT BLUE STATES CAN BUILD IN PARALLEL SYSTEMS TO PRESERVE WHAT FEDERAL GOVT DESTROYS

in parallel
—attorneys general of blue states continue their Zoom calls to plot strategy, and file briefs and suits
— Democratic governors continue to devote tens of millions to hire lawyers
for ongoing fights against trump’s troop occupations

by collective action (alliances and coalitions)
— CA, OR, WA and HA have created the West Coast Health Alliance; other blue states can, too.
— Blue states can and should --

— create large regional research consortia;
— re-create public-health and meteorology forecasting centers servicing member states;
— finance pandemic planning
— form and mobilize interstate criminal task forces to track and prosecute corruption by politicians,
lobbyists, and govt contractors (who invariably run afoul of state laws, too, when violating federal law)
— mobilize task forces to similarly track and prosecute consumer fraud, environmental pollution,
the cost of which is offset by fines

In the meantime, corporate media conglomerates, law firms, universities, banks, CEO’s have failed to
meet the moment; but perspective shows us that
— even with media headline coverage, these failures are still a fraction of their cultural and economic worlds, and
— people across the country who are desperate for pushback against the brutal regime have embraced Newsom’s
redistricting plan whatever their other opinions of him

Blue states' individual and collective actions might take months, but once begun, its collective momentum will carry blue states through the next three years. Americans will see this, and might even relocate to blue states.

Blue states' independent power and collective empowerment of each other are more evident with every passing day.

Blue trifecta states can be the soft secession proving ground to ensure that American democracy will not perish from the Earth.
