I got an idea

Specifically, for the Nazis, er, Christian Conservatives. Buy up all the food in the grocery stores and hand it out free to those who rely on SNAP to feed themselves and their children.

You know, like Jesus did.

If you can pick up a few extra bucks of groceries each trip to the grocery it will be much appreciated. A few extra bucks times millions. We, the good folk, can do it.

Question? If what the USDA does not distribute, what will become of the food? Turn into Republican monoliths of their selfishness and desire to harm. What will happen when a trump supporter and their family goes hungry? Quite a change in conversation when hate is the motivating factor for the party in charge.

all his buddies about that he was a mormon and has a years worth of food storage at home.......

I called him aside later, and said: You should not be telling ANYONE you have a year's supply of food, or that you are even a mormon, because everyone knows mormons have a years supply of food in their basements. PEOPLE WILL KILL FOR FOOD, you idiot......

You know who does a bang-up job of handing out food in our town? The RCs. Yep, just like Pope Leo says to do, and Pope Francis said before him. And several popes before that, I'm sure, but those two in particular. Those folks are really doing what Jesus said to do.

In one town where I was as a travel nurse, apparently everyone knew that the place to go for food was the big Church of the Brethren which was kind of near the hospital. That church also to the words of Jesus pretty literally when it came to feeding the hungry and clothing the naked, etc. I used to join their women's vigil for peace sometimes if I didn't have to work that day.

Every year, my wife and I make a substantial donation to Food Bank of the Rockies......we are about to make another one shortly.
During Covid we doubled down and sent another one.....

I LOL when I see the food collection baskets in the grocery stores.....The idea is that you will buy stuff at their store, increasing that stores Revenue and Profits.........

Give the Food Bank money, and the organization can buy twice as many food products from a wholesaler............

And make sure the food bank is run as well as Food Bank of the Rockies, with an administration cost of like 3%. If you don't have money, volunteer your time at the food bank to help out....

Was going to take some stuff to the food bank today, I'll ask about their buying power. I did notice
several weeks back that there was a Sysco truck parked near their facility.

because they coach their employees on all the ways that the employees can "work the government" to make up for the shitty wages they pay.....

The Walmart Heirs are too busy buying up all the Pro sports teams in Denver and elsewhere.......Avalanche, Nuggets, Broncos, etc

I have never stepped foot in a Walmart in my entire life, nor will I ever...........The same for Home Depot, and Cabelas and their Bass fishing partner company.

Years ago, Cabela's did an outright character assassination on Obama to show off to their customers......at the same time Dick's sporting goods did a brave thing and destroyed their entire inventory in stores of Assault type weapons.........Dicks was immediately attacked by Republican Trumphumpers for doing it.....(.thinking it would destroy Dick's customer base)......LOL LOL LOL.......Dick's Sporting Goods stores suddenly jumped 20% in sales revenue.......

Works for me. The lines at my church's food pantry are now twice as long, and with twice as many white folks.

I can't do this on church grounds, but your folks might also want to take some voter registration forms with them to also distribute.

It was run by volunteers and all the money generated by selling used clothing and books, puzzles and small housewares bought the food they gave out each Friday along with canned goods etc. from donation drop off boxes in the banks and some of the stores. During COVID they had to close the store part. I used to go on Thurs when they were packing things to give out and give them a twenty dollar bill. I am retired so that was all I could afford. I know I was not the only person that did that and the drop off boxes got filled every week with food donations. Even though they did not open the store for over a year and what they gave out was not as much as normal times, they managed to keep people fed.
