And her very stoned friend decided to refill the bowl with starburst singles, and grabbed the wrong bag by mistake.
Kidlet realized the bag was too small before they poured too many in, but they still spent 10 minutes picking out the wrong candy before they gave up and got someone halfway sober to drive down to the Thrifty and get more candy.
It can happen.

The fentanyl stories were a collective narrative of unsupported assertions rather than examples of isolated aberrations as are ours.

Just has to happen one time halfway across the country, and suddenly there's a dealer in every neighborhood that's out to corrupt the kids!

Nobody gives away free drugs. Ever.

I’ve heard about this mythical pusher my whole life and never once has anyone just given me free shit. I’m still kind of salty about that.

Look-alike packaging was sending kids to the hospital. It looked to them like the candy they were used to eating.

Makes a bit easier for parents to screen.
Thing is, with that slick packaging, are they setting themselves up for legal action by the manufacturers of the original product, or is this those same big companies dipping their toes in cannabis?
That said, it's hard to believe this will be a widespread problem.
A 14 ounce bag of Jolly Rancher gummies in $4.57 at Walmart.
Around here, THC gummies are $14 for 10 of them. Trying to pass these off to kids would be a serious monetary commitment that carries the risk of prison.
