Where many local papers in the USA just block all links outside the USA (on the grounds that they keep data on the visitors so they can profit from tailored ads, and keeping data on people means following regulations in the EU and UK, and they can't be arsed with that, so they just block their sites rather than give someone a news story without ads), Gannett sites allow people in.
