Dimon on Trump Media debanking: 'People have to grow up here'

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon pushed back on allegations that Trump Media Group was “debanked” by Chase, saying his company abides by government subpoenas but does not target individuals or entities because of their political leanings.

In an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” host Maria Bartiromo asked the chief executive about claims from former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the CEO of Trump Media, who said the government subpoenaed “our bank records at Trump Media” during a probe into President Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“I have seen Jamie Dimon and others at JPMorgan say this over and over again that they don’t debank people for political reasons. Well, then why the hell did you debank Trump Media?” Nunes said in a clip played on the Sunday show.

“People have to grow up here, OK, and stop making up things and stuff like that,” Dimon said, when asked to respond to Nunes’s remarks and whether his bank sent over records to former special counsel Jack Smith, as Nunes claimed.
