My mother loved the Honors and after she died in 1990, I kept up the tradition. I will never forgive these foul cretins for what they’ve done.

has been to watch the DVR'd for me Kennedy Center honors. Usually a couple honorees we get excited about actors, directors, etc, and wow - The Who, U2, and Springsteen!

This week I came over early to help her finish decorating with the 100 light sets she has. We did that 2 years, too.
Now the KC honors won't be on till the 23rd, of which I normally would have returned to see them.

But, of course, I said to her, "I guess we're not watching the Kennedy Center honors this year.".
I think she made a derisive sound, not sure. 😄 Sigh.
Of course, we'd never watch it as long as that miserable man besmirches it!

(I see her sometimes on Christmas Day if we're visiting our cousins. And covid '22 I spent at it her house.)
