NOW is the time to save it from the Greedy.
We were going to change it.
I hope they do better.

(1,618 posts)is the younger crowd is extremely critical and judgmental of the older generations..........and yet there seems to be a lack of younger voters turning out for elections?
Is that just me, not seeing things correctly?????????

(52,262 posts)and so many of us were critical of older generations, but I also remember that didn't always translate into voter turnout. Lot of attitude and opinions, but not necessarily a lot of meaningful action. I don't think a lot of us particularly trusted the system.

(1,618 posts)when all of us 18 year olds could be drafted and sent to fight a ludicrous war, (pushed by the Military Industrial Complex on us) and yet didn't have the right to vote for three years AFTER we were drafted...........
Also what amazes me, is seeing a major segment the youth in America, totally and completely un-educated about past history.
Which causes many poor choices in their lives, especially in elections and voting.......
(I suppose that could also be said for many of the 70 Million MAGAot Voters.....)

(52,262 posts)who were a nervous wreck, afraid they'd get called up. It certainly was a huge motivation to protest, but now I wonder how many went beyond protesting to actually voting. I rather recall a cynical attitude about the process and the "establishment" overall.
Yes, it is alarming how little so many of our youngest know about history, government, and politics. Sometimes we witness a lot of youthful zeal minus a solid and informed foundation. Occasionally, I remind myself that many of them weren't even alive on 9/11 or were too young to know what was happening. Damn, I guess I got very old, very fast!
