Even by his standards, that is some grade triple-A bafflegab.
I guess he's adding clairvoyance to his many talents, since he's searching things not yet articulated.
What. A. Tool.

(2,427 posts)Nothing about that sentence says Trump wrote it. No random capitalizations, big words, no wrong words used.

(29,059 posts)As do most members of Congress.
If he's talking about the SAVE Act, that's not happening.

(17,558 posts)so years ago, to renew my drivers license in the state o MO. I had to prove I was a US citizen. I had to get a copy of my birth certificate with a raised seal and I think I had to show my marriage certificate, I think. Of course I still have both. I think the governor at that time was Matt Blunt, son of Senator Roy Blunt. Thankfully Matt only served four years. Dont think he cared for politics much.

(6,345 posts)matter of submitting documents from birth to current residency. When you get your ballot, your driver license is swiped on a gizmo that's connected to the state's Dept. of Motor Vehicles. The license photos must match or you don't vote.
Noem just whined about all the fraudulent voting, and Al Sharpton, on Deadline Whitehouse, made a good rebuttle. He pointed out:
a) the southern border is now closed, so new immigrants aren't "flooding" in to vote;
b) ICE is detaining and deporting immigrants by the hundreds who have been living here and some may have been legal voters who won't be voting again;
c) And even with all the alleged fraud, Trump, himself, brags that he won the 2024 election "by the largest margins in history".
So, who will be left to commit this rampant fraud that Noem predicts? (We all can guess the Repugs' answer.)

The Framers of our Constitution recognized that power over election rules could be abused, either to destroy the national government or to disempower the people from acting as a check on their elected representatives, Kollar-Kotelly wrote. Accordingly, they entrusted this power to the parts of our government that they believed would be most responsive to the will of the people: first to the States, and then, in some instances, to Congress.
The idea that immigrants are being brought into the United States to vote is a far-right conspiracy theory that has been repeatedly disproven. It is already illegal for noncitizens to vote, and those that do so intentionally are easily caught, prosecuted, imprisoned for years, and then deported, all for the chance to cast a single ballot out of hundreds of thousands. Consequently, noncitizen voting is exceptionally rare, as election officials and court findings across the country have persistently shown.
Similarly, mail-in ballots are popular across the country and have shown no evidence of being particularly susceptible to electoral fraud. The SAVE America Act would not limit mail-in ballots, but another bill recently introduced in the House, the Make Elections Great Again Act, would.

(25,809 posts)He has nothing to add to society. Nothing. Just a complete waste of 4 years of American history. Fuck all his voters. I'm glad to hear when bad things happen to them. I'm not even shy about it. They aren't good people. Not one of them.
