Covid x 2 at our house

I posted the other day in the Lounge that I had Covid. Because I talked about the high cost of drugs, it probably should have been in GD: https://www.democraticunderground.com/10182282955

Anyway, I was diagnosed Wednesday at the doctor's office. Marta woke up sick yesterday. The home test kit was a positive for Covid. She is not happy with me for bringing this home. So far, she hasn't been sick enough to want to take the Paxlovid. I know. Preaching to the choir. But it is her call.

I'm much better than I was Wednesday. I thank everyone for their concern for my health and the hearts that came with it. It won't be much of a Valentine's Day. I'll have sports on ALL day. I'll check in on the DU. Marta has a new game she is playing. It ruined our dinner plans.

I think I had it in November, but I didn't test myself. A coworker had it on a Friday, and I was working with him that day. By late Sunday to Monday, I started feeling it. I was knocked out by Wednesday.

My neighbor is going to drop off a Covid test for me in about an hour. I feel like absolute shit. Husband's out of state for our grandsons wrestling match. My other son's wedding is March 5th and I have so much to do...this sucks. I can barely move or eat.
Even a cup of tea is a challenge to get down.

I wish a swift recovery for you and your wife.

Will I still test positive after 5 days of symptoms?

I managed to isolate in my home office downstairs in the early days when my husband & daughter had it (they stayed upstairs); and they tested positive for a while (must've been at least 10 days). I remember because they were not that sick and when they felt better, they were still testing positive for several days.

I didn’t get horribly sick so opted out of Paxlovid. No symptoms now, just fatigue. I hope both of you are feeling better soon.
