I posted the other day in the Lounge that I had Covid.
Because I talked about the high cost of drugs, it probably should have been in GD: https://www.democraticunderground.com/10182282955
Anyway, I was diagnosed Wednesday at the doctor's office. Marta woke up sick yesterday. The home test kit was a positive for Covid. She is not happy with me for bringing this home.

I'm much better than I was Wednesday. I thank everyone for their concern for my health and the hearts that came with it. It won't be much of a Valentine's Day. I'll have sports on ALL day. I'll check in on the DU. Marta has a new game she is playing.

(21,652 posts)I think I had it in November, but I didn't test myself. A coworker had it on a Friday, and I was working with him that day. By late Sunday to Monday, I started feeling it. I was knocked out by Wednesday.

(4,655 posts)My neighbor is going to drop off a Covid test for me in about an hour. I feel like absolute shit. Husband's out of state for our grandsons wrestling match. My other son's wedding is March 5th and I have so much to do...this sucks. I can barely move or eat.
Even a cup of tea is a challenge to get down.
I wish a swift recovery for you and your wife.
Will I still test positive after 5 days of symptoms?

(36,074 posts)I managed to isolate in my home office downstairs in the early days when my husband & daughter had it (they stayed upstairs); and they tested positive for a while (must've been at least 10 days). I remember because they were not that sick and when they felt better, they were still testing positive for several days.

(15,246 posts)I didnt get horribly sick so opted out of Paxlovid. No symptoms now, just fatigue. I hope both of you are feeling better soon.
