Most Americans say Trump is growing erratic with age, Reuters/Ipsos poll finds

Summary

61% view Trump as growing erratic with age, poll shows

79% say elected officials are too old

Trump's approval rating edges up to 40%

WASHINGTON, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Six in ten Americans including a significant slice of Republicans think President Donald Trump has become erratic as he ages, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The six-day poll concluded on Monday, the day before the 79-year-old president gives his annual State of the Union address to Congress following a month of angry reprimands of lawmakers and judges.

Overall, 61% of respondents in the poll said they would describe Trump as having "become erratic with age." Some 89% of Democrats, 30% of Republicans and 64% of independents described him this way. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

61% say he's aging into more erratic behavior, but 40% approve? (Plus, the 40% seems a but of an outlier to the high side, with other polls showing 34-37%)

The numbers suggest that some, in the middle approve of a guy that read as erratic.
Doesn't pass the logic test.

He's been in thr high thirties to low forties for over 6 months. Unless the MAGA delusional break, he's essentially lost everyone not insane and whose self worth isn't wrapped up in Trump.

But if even low-attention voters are finally noticing it, fine.

People only notice it now because he got rid on anyone around him that would seek to curb or hide it.

Everytime he sharts himself they have to clear out the Oval Office and send for Don Jr & Eric to change him which adds more costs due to his advanced age.

and how many are R's wishing they could go back to "normal" republicanism. It gets screwed up because none of the factions are delineated, unless it's democrats. And then you can be sure, they'll report on faction numbers!

They don't care if he is becoming irrational; raging against anyone who criticizes him, and turning every public speaking event into a poor me/I'll get even with them threat against anyone who doesn't kneel before him.
They're not interested in his false views of reality, and self praise of all the things he takes credit for, but had nothing to do with.

They love him because he hates the same people they do. And they'll support him to their graves, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later.
