(5,378 posts)there were 6,393,597 Republican votes, and 4,835,250 Democratic votes. In 2020 there were
5,890,347 Republican votes and 5,259,126 Democratic votes.
Now, Republicans with 73% of votes counted have 1, 729,282, and Democratic voters with 70% have 1,697,899.
And this is with the problems caused by Republican politicians for Democratic voters in Dallas County which has more than 10% of the total Texas Democratic vote. And it is a primary for a mid-term election.
I think that, in addition to causing chaos the reason that Paxton wants to curtail hours in Dallas is to suppress Democratic totals.
It seems very hopeful to me that turnout is so good.

(5,378 posts)Texas Republicans are still fully on board with Trump even if they don't like everything that he is doing. Certainly they don't know a lot of what he is doing and don't feel bothered to find out.
