Although there are not enough uncounted votes to enable Jasmine to overcome the margin, this isn't about the candidates -- it's about the voters. We have a right to be able to easily cast our ballot and have confidence that that ballot is accurately counted.

Counting the votes cast in the extended period is the minimum that needs to happen. There also needs to be an investigation. As far as I can tell, the Dallas county election site instructed people to go to any county voting center, when in fact, they had to go to their own precinct. That is WRONG. The two hour extension was an attempt to remedy, but that does not address the mismanagement.

For the March 3, 2026 Primary Election Early Voting period, voters may vote at any countywide Vote Center. On Election Day, voting will be precinct-based, requiring voters to vote at their assigned party's polling place.

The Dallas and Williamson County Republican Parties refused to agree to a joint primary election. That decision forced voters out of the countywide voting system they've used for over a decade and sent them scrambling to find their assigned precinct. The result? Confusion, long lines, and working people being told they're at the wrong location with no clear path to cast their ballot.

Yesterday was Election Day, not Primary Early Voting
