I want her to remain on the public scene, but she can't run for attorney general for another four years. And to be honest, my hope is that four years from now, we have a Democratic incumbent.

And she's out of a job when her term ends. I'm just saying she'd make a fantastic AG come 2028. That's in 2 years btw.

And it's about the independents in 8 months. Win over the independents and Texas will indeed elect a US Senator from the Democratic Party.

Each voter can vote which party primary in which to cast their vote, regardless which party they re registered with. There were more Democratic votes, but we don't know how many Republicans voted in the Democratic primary and vice versa.

If the "average" 13 point Dem swing materializes, Texas repugs are in for a world of hurt.

It won't happen if certain parts of your voting constituency is being ignored and no policies being offered to address their issues. People may not like what I have to say. I'm just sending out a warning. Lets see the numbers in Nov. When that Black coalition does not come out in full force. When the Hispanic community turns and doesn't give their support to Talrico. The Democratic Party will need the black community. But if you aren't offering policies to help us. Dont come blaming black people if/when Talrico loses. It's not jut the Texas election. It is the US as a whole. BW are being ignored.

and he will get teh majority of the black votes.
I think that comparing numbers of texans who wont vote for a black woman as opposed to numbers of black texans that wont vote for anyone besides jasmine, the number who wont vote for a black woman is much higher.

and if you look at the votes by county talarico did much better than crockett in heh very heavily hispanic counties along teh rio grande.
he won a lot of them by over 2-1.

Compared to a black woman Talrico or any white man will get the hispanic vote. They aren't voting for BW. What I am saying is that come NOV. That same hispanic vote that Talico got won't perform the same because in Nov he will be running against another white man. When the dirt starts slinging Talrico will be another Beto. I am not saying that Jasmine would have done better. What I am saying is that I need people to stop thinking that black people should automatically come out and vote in high droves for the Dem candidate. It is time that we get our tangibles.

I want people to STOP taking out vote for granted. I'm tired of hearing that the other side is awful. Yes as a BW I know that. But I am tired of holding my nose when voting. People that are not black are completely missing the point. And it to the doom of the party if people stop listening and stop opening their eyes.

My vote must be earned and its NOT promised.

and insulted by a sizeable portion of people in the Democratic Party and I don't like it.

While I don't have anything against James Talerico, personally, I did not care to watch and hear some of his supporters take a strong, intelligent, hardworking Civil Rights Attorney who fights hard for everything the Democratic Party believes in, and reduce her to being "a Black woman who cannot win". I hope James Talerico is listening to the concerns of Black women, and that he does everything he can to reach out to them and earn their trust. And though I know that Jasmine Crockett will do everything she can to elect Democrats up and down the ticket, it's not her job to do that outreach for James.

The total disrespect I have seen is exhausting. I am not a Texas voter. I have nothing against Talrico. I hope he wins. I hope he helps to enact policies that are great for all people.

It is the disrespect that I have witnessed that has me tired and crying. I heard that JC was combative. White and hispanic folks won't vote for her because she is too outspoken or 'ghetto". Where were these same people when she was standing up for American citizens against MTG and Trump. These same people dont have to guts to be outspoken can call BS. Please stand on business. I hate that Letitia Jame, Fannie, Cori, Kamala etc have been used and abused. But I'm told to just get over it because the other side is worse. I know they are terrible but what are you doing to keep my vote?

Is anyone making it a major issue throughout the US that BW economically have been hurt the most by Trump? What are the plans to fix this? But yet I'm suppose to STFU and vote. I deal with racism and passive aggressiveness each day. I'm tired.

What specific policies would you like to see enacted that would alleviate some of the damage done by the Rump administration (and Rs in general, but not just Rs…) that disproportionately affect BW? I’m in CA, but can still pressure representatives and Senators from other states to push for economic reforms that would not only earn the votes of BW, but begin to right some of the wrongs of past years/administrations.
