In the primary, 2.3 million Democrats turned out to vote vs 2.1 million Republicans.
Talarico won his primary.
In the Republican primary run off, Paxton won, but only 1.4 million Republicans voted.

(49,737 posts)It also occurred to me that if Paxton lost, there's a really good chance Trump would have offered him a job in his administration. So that's been postponed, at least.

(38,123 posts)Talarico will pick up disaffected Magapub voters. Cornyn threw his support to a criminal last night - and Non-Democratic Texans are hell bent on punishing those in their state and throughout the US for not agreeing with their hateful, evil, fascist beliefs.

(11,181 posts)turned him into the FBI for corruption. So although I doubt they will vote for Talarico they just might not vote for Paxton? That is a maybe? I suspect it will be a dirty race with Talarico taking the high road and the shitkicker/bootlickers will use every dirty trick available.

(3,195 posts)Paxton is already proving to depress voter turnout among his base. Talarico has proven to not just turn out his base, but expand it.
