White House Explodes Over Viral Video of Sleepy Donald Trump

A viral video of Donald Trump sitting with his eyes closed sent the White House's social media operation into full meltdown mode.

The administration's Rapid Response account lashed out on Thursday after videos circulated online appearing to show the 79-year-old president slumped sideways in his chair during an Oval Office event promoting what he called "Beautiful, Clean Coal."

One viral post, that at the time of writing has received more than 4 million views, claimed Trump was "completely passed out asleep" during the announcement and sarcastically wondered how long it would take before the White House insisted he had merely been "blinking."

The White House then took the bait.

and, related, is that he is no longer shown standing.

Always seated with his severely swollen legs (is he wearing a catheter too) hidden. Perhaps he needs leg braces at this point too.

Trump's idea of 'clean' coal

Trump appears to believe that clean coal - which, it must always be pointed out, doesn’t actually exist - is when workers mine coal and then physically “clean it.” That does not happen, but facts have never stopped Trump.

End of story. The miners, the land, the water, and the air around the mine, fish in
lakes, red spruce, and other vegetation from acid rain, the supportive capacity of
our atmosphere, people from the particals admitted by burning it, and ....

Clean Coal is not true.

My dad had a bathroom joke book of his, called “Shelley Berman’s Cleans and Dirties.” Something in the middle, neither fully clean nor dirty, Berman would call a “clirty” (as in “cleaned-up dirty”):

It is important to understand that he may be dozing with eyes ajar because it is caused by his physical decline. It's a lack of muscular function of the eyelid. He is dozing more often than suspected. Unfit to be in office.

The Oval is normally (and effectively) used as a very special room. It’s used for very special ceremonies and high level meetings often with heads of state. It’s very intimidating from everything I’ve read and one person I know who’s been in it. He’d seen lots on several tours in Afghanistan but he said when he stepped in there he gulped on focused on his breathing.

There’s an actual off to the side that most POTUS’s use for a majority of their day.

Trump wants EVERYONE to see him being President.
Look at me!!! In my gaudy tacky s hole.
With the press stomping all over the carpet.

ETA: Re Oval Office as a special room.

My friend's father was a ?Under Ambassador, then was later appointed as an Ambassador.

So we were walking around our city one day.....when she showed me the prints from photo session of his appointment as an Ambassador (with them/his family), in The Oval Office.

It was under Reagan. I hated Regean.
But, woah, it was impressive!

of him slumbering out cold, shitting his pants and sliding onto the floor face down.

That, by itself, will be comical enough, but the best part will be when Little Marco and all the other scared sheep in the room shit their pants and drop to the floor in a patriotic show of solidarity.

A friend's mother suffered from this, and lost control of how often or long her eyelids would stay open or closed. Videos of djt remind me of her.

Blepharospasm is a benign (noncancerous) condition of the nervous system that causes uncontrollable eyelid spasms. A person with this condition may lose the ability to control their eyelid muscles, leading to excessive or forceful blinking and/or periods of time when the eyes are clenched shut.

... Episodes may occur only occasionally at first, but the frequency of eyelid muscle spasms typically increases over time. If the problem is not diagnosed and properly treated, the condition may interfere with a person’s ability to live life normally, including to drive or work.

snip

Doctors aren’t sure what causes blepharospasm, although the condition may stem from abnormalities in an area of the brain that impacts muscle movement. In addition, exposure to bright light and certain medications may be triggers for the condition.
