Trump tells farmers today, 'Your life is much better than my life'

___Addressing a crowd of farmers in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, President Donald Trump told the crowd, “Your life is much better than my life.”

"You wouldn’t trade my life, you wouldn’t want my life — believe me, you don’t want it," he said. "Your life is much better than my life, I will tell you. Your ear wasn’t a little pierced over here. You didn’t get pierced. You have a nice, safe, beautiful life."

Here, Trump was referencing the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt against him at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. During the attack, a gunman opened fire from a nearby rooftop, grazing Trump’s right ear and drawing blood as Secret Service agents rushed him offstage. One rally attendee was killed, and two others were critically wounded before the shooter, Thomas Crooks, was fatally shot by law enforcement.

Trump shows farmers printed pictures of his reflecting pool project during rambling roundtable event

Despite the Chippewa Falls event being labeled as a roundtable, it was more of a rally-style gathering with Trump doing the majority of the talking and then asking other participants at the table to speak "quickly" so he could "get back to fighting a war."

Early in his speech — which he gave sitting down at a horseshoe-shaped table with the likes of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Republican Representative Derrick Van Orden — Trump showed off a graphic about the size of his reflecting pool compared to famous skyscrapers.

"It's double and triple the size in terms of area" of the Willis Tower in Chicago and the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center in New York City, Trump said of the reflecting pool while holding up a graphic printed on computer paper.

Farmers are going broke because of his tariffs and his stupid war, and all he can talk about is how he got his ear nicked and he's building a reflecting pool that's taller than skyscrapers, using tax money paid by, among others, farmers who can't get fertilizer or pay for diesel.
