The Ignorance Matrix
It is a sad reality but one we must acknowledge.
If half the country, or one of the major political Parties, is set on destroying our country and our democracy, there is not much we can do about it. Unfortunately, the Republican Party has joined forces with a destructive autocrat, intent on feeding his ego and ruling the world. Only the most ignorant and submissive people need to apply. There can be no dissent. No one is permitted to question the dictatorial leader.
Slowly, we have been sucked into this matrix of ignorance, driven by greed and the desire for retribution. It is an enemy of freedom and self-governance. How do we escape?
Can we survive 2 1/2 more years of this ego-driven destruction? Other than outright violence, the only exit seems to be the next election. If we can win, we can escape this prison of the mind. All we have to do is vote.
But, as Stalin is reputedly credited with saying, it is not about who votes, it is about who counts the votes. This is another reality that we must deal with. The battleground is being set in California and we must continue to be vigilant if we are to have a future as a country, in my humble opinion.
We must see things as they are and not as we wish them to be.
