Lindsey Graham replaced Strom Thurmond in that Senate seat in 2002, which means it was held by a bigot since 1954. It's time to break the cycle of generational trauma over there.

2. Always thought Lindsey Graham was a waste of a Law degree.

JAG lawyers I've met come in two types - wannabe golf and dinner conference buddies with Admirals and politicians and use the uniform to get an easy life, or guys who are really dedicated to the Constitution, the rule of Law, and the well-being of their country in general, and use the Uniform as a means to get that law degree to serve.

And there are JAG ring-knockers or OCS who are exemplars of both categories

Lindsey pretty much chose his category. He never met a legal convention that could be ignored when it came to any county or civil grouping that he considered inconvenient or an " opponent" - including those in his own.country.
He was a legal and political scavenger who knew better - if he had taken his education and service to heart.

A Hyena of Law who was an useful political servant for his Party of choice, even as they sneered at him behind his back.
That is what he will be remembered for.
