Unlike twat boy I have legit genius-level test scores from my youth. I also have a condition that causes a risk of encephalopathy. After a few months of this risk I got in the car to go to work and couldn't remember how to put it in reverse. I eventually figured it out by randomly pushing buttons and levers until the damn thing moved backward and I got to work muttering to myself about crappy modern user interfaces. That evening I fortunately saw my hepatologist who realized what was going on and changed my drugs. After a few days on the metronizadole I could remember what had happened and how generally stupid I'd gotten about simple things but at the time I had externalized everything and I was losing functionality slowly enough that nobody who saw me every day really noticed the trend, least of all myself.
