Iran has targeted US naval supply lines in a wave of airstrikes that have brought the interim peace deal to the brink of collapse.
Irans Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have destroyed several key US facilities across the Gulf, including a refuelling station for American aircraft carriers at the Port of Duqm, Oman.

The Iranian attacks were carried out after the US launched some 140 strikes on Saturday evening in response to further assaults by Tehran on commercial shipping in the waterway.
The latest round of fighting was triggered earlier this week by Iranian strikes on tankers attempting to transit the shipping lane. Tehran has argued that all commercial vessels must use routes approved by its authorities.

(23,289 posts)When one considers the article credits the IRGC as the source, it makes some sense. It is surprising they didn't claim to have sunk the USS Lincoln, again.

(23,289 posts)but no carrier or replenishment ship is going to a port in Oman right now. They will not make themselves vulnerable to Iranian attacks.
The carrier will be conducting at sea replenishments and the supply ships will come from Diego Garcia or farther.
