What dispatch audio tells us about the emergency response at Lindsey Graham's home

WASHINGTON—Emergency responders sent to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s home Saturday night performed CPR on an individual suffering from cardiac arrest, according to dispatch audio reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, D.C.’s Fire and EMS responded to a report of chest pains at a home on South Capitol Street, a few blocks south of the U.S. Capitol, that public records list as one of Graham’s addresses.

Minutes later, officials radioed that a caller who reached 911—an unidentified woman who said she wasn’t in the home and was driving from Baltimore to the address—had told dispatchers his front door was unlocked.

But crews on scene reported the deadbolt was secured, and said they were getting no answer. “Have you tried knocking at the door to see if the patient will answer?” the dispatcher asked. “Yes, repeatedly,” they replied, according to audio captured by openmhz.com.

It sounds like he called his relative and complained about chest pains. 911 call was about chest pains. Relative then called an ambulance and started driving to his home. My guess is Lindsey was going to open the door so medics could get in, but dropped dead (heart stopped) before he could open the door.

4. Could be that he was home alone and called his niece.

If he had an embolism - which is a reasonable possibility - he might have started feeling sick and reached out to somebody. That somebody - maybe his niece - might have said she was calling 911 and told him to unlock the front door.

Maybe he never made it to the door.

Edited to add: the only thing odd to me about this story is Kash Patel saying the FBI is involved. THAT is weird. But Kash is always taking to social media to promote himself.

6. That is exactly what likely happened.

911 caller told police that Lindsey (presumably) was suffering from chest pains. I think Lindsay called a relative and told them he had chest pains. Relative then called 911. When ambulance arrived Lindsey was already in cardiac arrest (meaning his heart stopped).

And why doesn't he have a housemaid or butler or something??

9. I also read today that emergency responders couldn't get access

and that the front door was locked. They had to break it down....coulda cost Miss Lindsey his life. As Seinfeld once famously said: "that's a shame"

While I'm on the subject, please knock off the "Lindsey Graham is gay/a woman" jokes. Most of you have figured this out by now, and DU Juries actually have a pretty solid track record of removing these posts, but you know what would be even better?
