Look at the replies to Bidens comment. Theyre as bad as Millers.
Honestly, Ill just outright say it. Fuck Lindsey Graham. And I dont care about Biden, his son, or Harris comments saying fake nice things about dead fascists. They all seem quaint but at the same time, sort of out of touch given how toxic this culture is. Fake politeness and niceties dont heal this polarization. Until republicans try to heal this rift, democrats once again appear pathetically weak.

(2,271 posts)Read the fucking comments on that X page and come back and tell me this so called civilized behavior is winning democrats any votes.
Id like to hear what Graham had to say about Harris behind her back. I doubt it was gracious.
Besides in this environment no one believes any of this is sincere anyways. Its all political theater. I get the need for it, but Im not going to act like I even care for it anymore.
If Republicans want decency and graciousness maybe they should try to act like they deserve it.
Everyone wants to go back to a better But theyve poisoned the well way too deep for me to think its happening right away.
But I guess Im not an elected politician either so Ill leave this at that.

Lindsey and I served together in Congress for over a decade, and worked closely on many issues throughout the years. We traveled the world together as members of the Senate Foreign Relations committee. We disagreed often, and sometimes loudly.
Lindsey and I did agree on the profound importance of public service. Like me, he loved the Senate as an institution, even with all its flaws and complexities.
To his family, his staff, his constituents in South Carolina, and everyone who loved him: Jill and I are keeping you in our prayers.
