Mobile mayoral candidates vie for votes as Election Day looms
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Voters in Mobile will select a new mayor Tuesday. It’s the first election in two decades without an incumbent, as Mayor Sandy Stimpson is not running for a third four-year term.
With time running out before Election Day, Barbara Drummond and Spiro Cheriogotis are pushing hard for every last vote.
“It’s been a very invigorating campaign,” Drummond said while campaigning in Toulminville.
“I’m just trying to remind everyone there’s an election September 23rd and we sure need them,” Cheriogotis said while campaigning in West Mobile.
