CITY ELECTIONS: Voters in Selma elect new mayor to replace James Perkins, Jr.

Voters in Selma have elected a new mayor to replace James Perkins, Jr., who had lost his re-election bid last month.

In a runoff, Johnny Moss II defeated Aaron Roper. Moss is the president of the Selma city school board, while Roper is a former tax collector.

Moss says he plans to work together with the city council to provide services for the people.

He shared his feelings with Action 8 News after a long hard-fought campaign. Watch the video above to see his reaction.
