Who has heard of CANVAS and "Blueprint for (nonviolent) Revolution?"

I came across these in my internet ramblings.

Blueprint for Revolution
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blueprint_for_Revolution
Blueprint for Revolution: How to Use Rice Pudding, Lego Men, and Other Nonviolent Techniques to Galvanize Communities, Overthrow Dictators, or Simply Change the World is a book written by Srdja Popovic, the founder of the Centre for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies (CANVAS). The book is described on its back cover as "a handbook for anyone who wants to effectively (and peacefully) improve your neighborhood, make a difference in your community, or change the world

Nice review, and a good summary, basically an outline, here: (recommended)

CANVAS:

From CANVAS' headquarters in Belgrade, Serbia, we operate a network of international trainers and consultants with expertise in building and running successful non-violent movements.

We work to build more just, democratic, and responsible society. CANVAS’ offices in Washington DC, Manila, Tbilisi, Johannesburg and Belgrade aim to provide maximum support to the activists on the ground, and they serve as a hub for local and regional initiatives that rely on principals of nonviolent struggle and creative activism.

Our organization disseminates knowledge through a variety of media, including workshops, books, videos, and specialized courses. CANVAS has produced several publications on nonviolent resistance over the years, based on intensive research and our members’ decades of experience in the field.

These revolutionary “know-hows” are available for free download on this website. Additionally, our trainers regularly teach courses on nonviolent strategy at a variety of educational institutions worldwide.

Key Insights:
1. Otpor! was the Serbian resistance movement that provided the blueprint for revolutions all over the world.

2. Get rid of the nagging skepticism that “It happened there, but it can’t happen here.”

3. Laughtivism is a newer, more effective form of activism that channels the power of humor.

4. When people living under oppression describe the kind of life they want, the changes they envision are simple and tangible.

5. The Syrian revolution flopped because they were all passion and no planning.

6. Use the momentum of barbaric repression to your own advantage.

And Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who are fighting in the cities and towns where we live rather than in mahogany-paneled offices with chairs made with fine Corinthian leather.

I WANT FIGHTERS!

I'll keep that to a reply. I imagine that some people are waiting for the Epstein Event Horizon, but in the real world,

• You control what you can control.
• You influence and encourage those that you can.

And don't wait for "events to unfold".

You make them unfold in the ways you can. That's the main reason I post here.
Especially in THIS forum!

Actions count!
