Mayoral race frontlines Fairbanks election

It's election time once again across Alaska, with Municipal Elections being held from Juneau to Fairbanks, and even all the way to Utqiagvik. The standard election day is scheduled for next Tuesday, October 7th.

While elections are taking place all over the place, including mayoral races in Utqiagvik and Kodiak, today we are focusing on Fairbanks.

The highlight of the City of Fairbanks' election is the race between incumbent Mayor David Pruhs and Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly Member and Presiding Officer Mindy O'Neall.

Mindy O'Neall's campaign is focused on revitalizing downtown Fairbanks, developing housing and livability, as well as improving public safety. In addition, she states that she will "restore respect and progress to city hall."
