An employee at the Institute of Museum and Library Services is reporting DOGE is there with security demanding access and phones. They need to be stopped!! The news media needs to be covering this!

12. DOGE isn't law enforcement

It's an unconstitutional entity taking unconstitutional actions. But, the police have shown that they lack understanding or willingness to do anything about it.

I wonder if an agency could use its discretionary budget to hire private armed security that would keep DOGE out. Film all of their encounters and if DOGE becomes aggressive, take them to court for assault or whatever. The problem is, must of the private security kind of people are right wing.

In addition to the private armed security, they should probably have private attorneys ready to come to the scene while their armed security guards are holding DOGE at bay, and some media on speed dial to also come to the scene. CNN/MSNBC might run the standoff on live tv and whatever agency that did this could create a precedent for how other agences should handle it going forward.

Instead of throwing DOGE out, when called by agencies, they've instead thrown the agency employees out.

My idea about using private security would be difficult because Trump would probably have his "Justice" Dept. file ridiculous charges against the security company and file giant lawsuits against them and there aren't many/any companies that would be willing to fight that.

Disabled and elderly people with vision impairment and other print disabilities get access to audiobooks and braille materials through NLS/Bard, which is targeted.

This will disproportionately impact small libraries and rural areas, who depend on federal funds. They may have to greatly scale back the more expensive programs like Libby and Hoopla, which provide ebooks and audiobooks to patrons, and are a way that disabled patrons who can't easily get to the library can still access books. It's easy to say FAFO, but many of those people in red states accessing those library books are our voters, and the last thing we want is ANYONE cut off from knowledge and learning and the ability to read. That what the other side wants, a dumb sheep population who they can control with propaganda, and why they are doing this.
