Elon Musk has broken his silence on a New York Times report alleging he was to be briefed on a potential war with China, blasting the paper as “pure propaganda” while threatening prosecutions of the Times’ anonymous sources.

Musk was set to be briefed Friday on plans for any war the U.S. might have with China, two anonymous U.S. officials told the paper. A third said the briefing would focus on China, but did not offer details.

Replying to President Donald Trump’s Truth Social post attacking the Times story, Musk issued his own rebuke on his X platform, saying “The New York Times is pure propaganda.”

He added: “Also, I look forward to the prosecutions of those at the Pentagon who are leaking maliciously false information to NYT. They will be found.”

is that clearly there are high-ranking individuals (plural, according to the NYT and WSJ) at the Pentagon with whom what is happening is NOT okay.

Secondly, both the NYT and WSJ took some risk in reporting it, knowing full well it would antagonize Orange Anus and his co-pilot.

That said, Musk seems to have as much power as Trump and is indeed often acting as president, so who exactly is the leader of this country? I believe it is Musk because he used his millions to essentially buy Trump and force him to cede power. He also owns X, which he could use to try to turn many people against Trump and this administration if Trump kicked him out of power. And then there’s Trump’s slip that Musk rigged the election for him. If true, neither of them would want that to come to light. I think Trump cannot afford to get rid of Musk because he knows too much.

But since he and Trump decided to reply like this, its clearly 100% true. Trump doesn't even deny that Musk was going to be there. Our government was about to give a classified briefing to a foreign national who couldn't pass a security clearance under any circumstance.

This is at least the third thing that has been revealed that should result in an immediate removal of Trump.
