Thousands pack Huntsman Center to hear Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez speak

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Thousands of people turned out at the University of Utah as Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took the stage to rally support and deliver a direct challenge to what they call a billionaire-dominated system that’s failing working Americans.
“Are you ready to change this country? It starts in places like Salt Lake City,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
More than 20,000 people attended the "Fight Oligarchy" rally, part of a five-day tour across four states. The event is one of several stops for the progressive lawmakers as they aim to build momentum for what they call a nationwide movement.
