JD Vance Tells Theo Von Musk Might Never Be Allowed Back In MAGA 'Fold' Because He's 'Gone So Nuclear'

Vice President JD Vance is not sure it’s “possible” for Elon Musk to be invited back into the MAGA “fold” after the billionaire went “nuclear” on President Donald Trump, even accusing him of being in the “Epstein files.”

Vance joined comedian Theo Von on the This Past Weekend podcast this week where he was informed in real time of Trump and Musk’s growing rift. On Thursday, the president said he was “disappointed” in Musk in response to the billionaire’s criticism of his “Big Beautiful Bill,” a budget Musk says will only add to the deficit.

A war of words quickly kicked off, leading to Trump threatening to cancel Musk’s government contracts and Musk accusing Trump of hiding the “Epstein files” because he’s in them. Those “files” are supposed to contain the names of people who traveled with the late sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein to a private island where he was accused of trafficking and assaulting women and underage girls. Vance was caught in a situation similar to that of FBI Director Kash Patel on Joe Rogan’s podcast this week as he read Musk’s Epstein post for the first time during his Von interview.

“The fucking shit missile is in the cannon,” Von said before reading Musk’s tweet. Vance went to bat for Trump and called any Epstein-related accusations “totally BS.” “First of all, absolutely not. Donald Trump didn’t do anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein. Like, there’s, the guy is, whatever the Democrats and the media says about him, that’s totally BS,” the vice president said. Vance said he hopes Musk can be invited back “into the fold,” but he’s not sure it’s possible now.
