Newsom accuses GOP of 'literally throwing seniors out on the street' with bill

Donald Trump and Republicans are "literally throwing seniors out on the street," according to California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Newsom, a Democratic governor with widely reported sights on the Oval Office, perhaps in 2028, recently sued Fox News for hundreds of millions of dollars.

On Saturday, the California politician lobbed the new allegation at GOP lawmakers.

"NEW: Donald Trump and the GOP are literally throwing seniors out on the street," Newsom claimed. He added that, "1 in 4 nursing homes say they’ll be forced to SHUT DOWN if Trump's Big Beautiful Betrayal becomes law."

And there are enough nasty, ugly, violent American MAGA cult members to make it look legit.

Trump can keep pretending he is only doing what the voters want him to do.

Install a dictatorship and ruin democracy.

and it's going to get worse before it gets better ... maybe more Americans will join us in the streets after they have to move mom or dad into their guest room & care for them 24/7 (and that is the best-case scenario)

I have been saying that for some time.
Americans have to learn things the hard way.

Yes the lucky ones will have family taking care of them.
The rest won't make it.

is, when a nursing home needs to get a patient out for nonpayment, they will transfer the patient to an ER for something, and then refuse to take the patient back. They can transfer the burden to the back of a hospital.

I see this bill, in this aspect, as an immediate threat to hospitals, too. But, yeah, some if not most, of the nursing homes rely on medicare/medicaid money to survive. It's not going to be pretty.
