Mayor in Ontario defends Reagan ad after Trump imposes 10 percent tariff on Canada

A mayor from the Canadian province of Ontario defended an advertisement paid for by his province that includes remarks from former President Reagan to criticize President Trumps tariffs.
The ad angered Trump, who has since said he will impose an additional 10 percent tariff on Canadas exports to the United States.
I support the premiers approach, Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown said Sunday on CBCs Rosemary Barton Live, referring to Ontaro Premier Doug Ford. Sometimes you need to throw a rock in a pond to get a splash. Hes got a reaction.
Its got a lot of coverage. And the words are truthful, despite what theyre trying to spin and say that, you know, its only a portion of the speech, Ronald Reagan viewed tariffs as taxes and would cost America in the long term.

(9,043 posts)Ontario is the biggest Canadian province in all categories (followed by Quebec in 2nd, except for wealth, which is Alberta).
The new additional 10% tariffs only apply to products not cover by the USMCA accord signed by king pedo the felon during his 1st term.
