Trump Finally Comes Clean on His Naked Lust for a Third Term

Source: The Daily Beast

President Donald Trump has not only refused to rule out running for the presidency again in 2028 but is now actively bragging about just how well he’d do.

“I would love to do it,” the MAGA leader told reporters Monday aboard Air Force One, en route to Japan. “I have my best numbers ever.”

Only last week, his former chief adviser, convicted fraudster Steve Bannon, said there was “a plan” in place to sidestep the 22nd Amendment.

“Trump is going to be president in ‘28, and people ought to just get accommodated with that,” he told The Economist. “At the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is,” he went on, offering few details beyond his assertion that the MAGA president is an “instrument of divine will.”

Yes he will, as his term ends January 2029.

Ignoramus.

Otherwise, it’s the typical fascist right – spread disinformation and lies to undermine the political process, deflect from Trump’s many faults and failures, and exhibit contempt for democracy and the Constitution.

There is only ONE way that he could still be president after '28: No election! How about impeaching him in '27 instead?

with an opinion like this: “I have my best numbers ever.” When EVERY single poll, including right wing ones, show he is only in competition with the low numbers of his FIRST term! (LOL) Dementia.... please do you thing and hurry it up! Heart and arteries, pile in the fat from KFC and McDonalds and do what you've done to so many (undeserving) others.

And most importantly, don’t spread defeatism and Doomerism- there are enough daily atrocities to resist and fight against without falling for made up shit.

The following facts will unfold:

SCOTUS, whose loyalty is to their ideology, and not to Trump the man, will not permanently relinquish their power and rule that 2=3.

Trump will not be on the ballot in any state in 2028.

Trump will not be the republican nominee in 2028 (remember, there are dozens of republicans waiting for their shot)

States will hold 2028 elections as scheduled, and send their slates of electors to congress.

On January 20, 2029 a new president and VP, neither named Trump, will be inaugurated. If for some reason, congress fails in its duty to certify the EV’s, an acting president will be sworn in following the line of succession starting with the speaker.

The only thing preventing these facts from unfolding would be a successful military coup toppling the government, which would require thousands of service members to commit multiple acts of treason, without resistance from the rest of the military, the courts, the congress or the people.

If I am wrong about these facts unfolding, feel free to post an “I told You so!” thread on January 21, 2029.

6. His plan is probably.....
Mon Oct 27, 2025, 12:16 PM

to get one of his stooges to run for president with Trump as his VP.

Election is cooked. Stooge wins and immediately resigns.

Trump is president again..

With Donnies' 3rd grade education, this is, in his estimation, a genius strategy..

They came up with something that *almost* worked the first time around. If it hadn't been for a few (namely, Pence) who wouldn't bend to the illegality, it could have worked. I don't know anyone he's put into the republican party or in his admin who'd stand up for the rights of the country today.

12. Quite simply they're going to have the Supreme Court void the Twenty-second amendment.

Just like they're trying to void birthright citizenship, which is guaranteed by Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution. In my view, this would be the time for general strikes and a total end to compliance with the fascist state.

And, in saying he'll do so, isn't he telling everybody he cares more about power than about the Constitution?

There is zero chance that he voluntarily walks away from free campaign money being thrown at him by his rubes, plus all the enrichment while in office. It doesn't matter if he wins or loses or pretends he has a chance, he WILL run and collect free money, then argue disingenuously about it all after riding it out for as long as he can. And then he will claim victory regardless, and refuse to ever leave.

Anyone who thinks he may not run again is just not paying attention.

To be clear, he will never voluntarily walk away. NEVER.

...and have the boxes suddenly vanish and replaced. Then file a lawsuit in the Supreme Court stating the amendment limiting to two terms was intended to be consecutive. And he'll send a mob to the court that effectively forces them to agree or face some dire consequences.
