Trump Is Targeting The Kennedy Center For Renovations, Too

President Donald Trump’s fixation on renovations doesn’t seem to be stopping with the White House’s East Wing overhaul. In a Truth Social post early Monday morning, Trump announced that there were “many major improvements” also underway at the Kennedy Center, a storied D.C. performing arts venue that he’s taken a particular interest in overseeing this term.

“The new TRUMP KENNEDY, whoops, I mean, KENNEDY CENTER, columns, beautifully painted in a luxuriant white enamel color, replacing the fake looking gold paint that was there for years,” Trump wrote about the recent changes at the establishment.

“Many major improvements are being made, including seating, carpeting, wall coverings, ceilings, chandeliers, stages, heating and A/C, etc., to what will soon be the finest Arts and Entertainment Center anywhere in the World,” Trump added.

Spokespeople for the White House and the Kennedy Center did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the rationale and timeline behind the changes. Previously, Trump has said that he aimed to “fully renovate” the building as he’s sought to mount a larger takeover of the institution.

13. By "fully renovate" and "larger takeover" I think he means replace it with something else.

He's never shown any sense of style or taste. I can't see him having a vision for a newer version other than having everything replaced with the newest in HVAC, acoustics and lighting, new high tech furniture etc so he can say he upgraded everything. I don't know the current status of the Kennedy Center regarding it's interior infrastructure and decor but I can't see him having a specific vision other than being able to say he made it better even if he made it gaudy like the penthouse at Trump Tower. He'll probably completely tear it down and either never rebuild it or try to replace it with some cost overrun nightmare that won't ever be finished during his term and in the meantime there will be no Kennedy Center honors ceremonies. He didn't attend the ones that were held during his first tenure.

These are money pits, designed and "built" to both enrich Trump and establish his legacy as the greatest president of all time. Expect huge cost overruns and extended timelines in each of his projects that will insure a long term money stream into his pocket.
If it's ever completed, It'll be another golden palace for the worship of Emperor Trump.

At some point I expect Washington DC will be renamed Washington DJT. Or maybe just Trumplandia.
