Jimmy Kimmel extends deal with ABC for another year

Source: Independent

Jimmy Kimmel has struck a deal with Disney to extend his late-night show for another year.

Three months after Jimmy Kimmel Live! was briefly suspended in September, the comedian’s contract will now take the show through May 2027.

Kimmel’s current deal with Disney, the owner of ABC, was set to end in May 2026.

The new extension comes after months of worries about the future of late-night television. Kimmel was yanked off the air “indefinitely” following comments he made on the show about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

but I've really warmed to Kimmel after Krasnov's attempt to cancel his show. He's got a big heart and can be savagely funny going after the regime.

BTW, I started watching Kimmel in earnest only after Krasnov's action so congrats red don, you got Kimmel another devoted viewer. Mission Accomplished!

And when he realized that it was only because he was rich that he could save his son, and that Trump had canceled the program that helped those parents who couldn't afford to save their own children from this condition....he broke down on his own show. After that he went full tilt on Trump.

ABC came to him after awhile and asked that he NOT spend so much time criticizing Trump, because they were losing half their audience that way. He refused. I'll always watch Jimmy after those incidents.

Not to mention he is so deadly comical against Trump

This much is clear.

He will land on his feet with new projects elsewhere I’m sure.

I'm hoping by the deadline, the idiots at CBS will have figured out how bad this idea really was.

which I will never watch. Kiss and Stallone REALLY SUCK for standing behind that asshole. While we're on the subject of idiot celebrities, WTF is with Kelsey Grammer? He needs a wellness check from a psychiatrist after all the evidence that his buffoon idol should be in a hospital jail.
