Trump 'undoubtedly furious' as lawyers call 'emergency meeting' to control him: Ex-aide

Source: Raw Story

February 3, 2026 11:55AM ET

A coalition of prosecutors from across the nation are flying to Washington, D.C. this week to develop an action plan for holding the Trump administration accountable amid its ongoing immigration raids, Ex-White House official Miles Taylor exclusively reported Tuesday.

Those prosecutors are part of the new organization Fight Against Federal Overreach, first revealed last week and established to put together a strategy for holding federal immigration officials accountable for their sometimes violent and arguably unconstitutional actions.

“This week, something unusual is happening in the nation’s capital,” Taylor wrote Tuesday on his Substack “Defiance News.”

“Local prosecutors from across the United States are flying to Washington, D.C. for an emergency meeting about a simple idea that shouldn’t be controversial: No federal agent is above the law. Yet the Trump administration will undoubtedly be furious to know the gathering is taking place, as the organizers are readying efforts to hold its agents accountable for misconduct.”

have been reading the tea leaves of special elections and other elections that have occurred since the criminal put himself back into the Oval. They're scared they may have to actually work for a living, rather than living off of our largesse, because of the orange tyrant.

It's good to see some movement from those who've been under his thumb for so long... and it could probably only have come from them, just like it took Nixon's inner circle to tell him to leave. But I don't have a hell of a lot of hope these "men" will have enough backbone to make anything happen FOR the people.

I.e., Miles Taylor, who was a former Republican and served in Shrub's administration and 45's (as DHS Chief of Staff) first administration.

He was the writer of that "Anonymous" OP-Ed to the NYT titled “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration,” - https://www.democraticunderground.com/10142151316

The "About" - https://www.defiance.org/about

I expect this is a "Lincoln Project"-like group but probably picking up bipartisan support.

That there is more than enough evidence to indicate that Trump and his Cabinet are working for Putin and deliberately trying to harm the U.S. with the consent of the members in the GOP Congress.

A joint appearance and statement listing the usurpations and violations and their steadfast resolution to stand together in opposition with a review of actions they have taken in their individual states and an announcement of agreements among the states to protect their people .. with more to come. Make it clear that the free states of this nation have the courage to do what they must to stay free.

In this crisis, the DGA needs to do a hell of a lot more than work to elect Democratic Governors. It needs to take the lead in the sort of coordinated, effective, unprecedented, response that this unprecedented crisis demands.

https://democraticgovernors.org/governors/

Beshear is the Chair. Write, Call, Schedule meetings to ask what they plan to do as a group -- and if nothing, lobby for coordinated action.

The Attorneys General have taken some coordinated action. It's time for the Governors to get visible as a force standing in solidarity.
