Man says he was questioned about Nancy Guthrie's disappearance before being released

RIO RICO, Ariz. (AP) — Soon after the FBI released images of a masked person on Nancy Guthrie’s porch the night she went missing in Arizona, authorities detained a man who said he was questioned for hours Tuesday night and later released.

The man, who was detained during a traffic stop south of Tucson according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, told several media outlets that he had nothing to do with last week’s disappearance of Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.

Authorities have not said what led them to stop the man and had not confirmed he was released. The sheriff’s department said its deputies and FBI agents also searched a location Tuesday night in Rio Rico, a city where the man lives near U.S.-Mexico border.

It was the latest twist in an investigation that has gripped the nation since Nancy Guthrie disappeared on Feb. 1. Until Tuesday, it seemed authorities were making little headway in determining what happened to her or finding who was responsible.

I assume the kidnapper(s) didn't bother to take her medicine when they took her.

. . . Savannah Guthrie was the first (?) to interview some of the Epstein survivors and I think she interviewed the Guiffrie lady who committed suicide.

I will not be at all surprised to find that Trump or a lone-wolf MAGAt is behind the kidnapping pf Guthrie's mother.

Some around here wonder if Nancy Guthrie was taken to Mexico where there might be a doctor willing to get her needed meds and such.

All things Epstein related and considered, I wouldn't rule it out, nor Bannon possibly having something to do with it to 'send a message' to people with on-air platforms. It seems a lot of people close to the administration have few qualms about trying to intimidate media.

I saw that it was shut down until 2/20, but then opened right back up.... Kinda weird timing with all of this and Epstein.

.... because she's worth tens of millions of dollars.

You don't kidnap someone's mother because of an interview. You kidnap her mother because she is rich.

All make believe as the “suspect “ had never even heard of Guthrie. Making it look like they actually had a suspect. Kash Patel equals Trump in grossness.

It's a stage show for them. A citizen had to pay with several hours of his time so Kash Patel could make it look like they are "on the case."
