MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is promoting his bid for Minnesota governor by handing out copies of his autobiography and paying for them with thousands of dollars in campaign funds. According to The Daily Beast, Lindell has spent roughly $187,000 of the $356,000 he raised during the first two weeks of his campaign on bulk purchases of his book, What are the Odds? From Crack Addict to CEO.
Lindell announced his gubernatorial run in December after being encouraged by President Donald Trump, who refers to him as the pillow guy. When were going around to all the places in Minnesota, other people are giving a flyer, Lindell told the Minnesota Reformer. Im giving them the whole book so they know who I am.
Lindell, a prominent 2020 election denier who has accused Satan of interfering in the vote, has spent millions promoting conspiracy theories about election fraud, according to the Daily Beast report. In June, he was ordered to pay $2.3 million in damages for defaming a former Dominion Voting Systems employee and has said he is millions of dollars in debt, the outlet added.
I cant self-fund. I dont have any money left, Lindell previously acknowledged. Instead, his campaign has relied on donor contributions to purchase copies of his $19.97 book, which recounts his recovery from crack addiction to embrace evangelical Christianity.

(6,700 posts)They get people to donate money so they can launder the money to give him income from campaign expenses.
His book was done as a a raw, authentic account by a man many thought would never rise above his serial, addiction-fueled failures. but he has sunk far below those days. So the "many" were right.
He said Im giving them the whole book so they know who I am. They know what you are, Mike. A grifter, liar, one who falsely accused even Satan and a lowlife who has gone from being a crack addict at the bottom of the barrel to someone whom even the barrel couldn't stomach.
But the MAGAts will vote for him because, to them, anyone is better than a human being as a governor.
I think I got the summary of his life right!

Con Artists saw the moron a mile away and offered hexadecimal gobblety goop that they claimed was router data proving data was altered by Chinese satellites and Mikey held a three-day "Cyber Symposium" in Sioux Falls, S.D. and actual IT professionals in attendance told him that what he was displaying was garbage that proved nothing. Mikey was claiming to have the proof of election data being sent by satellite to computers in China and involved a compuetr company owned by the then already dead Hugo Chavez.
Also, Trump never repaid him for events he held (Trump stiffs everybody) and his pillow sales tanked so he's really really broke.

(13,975 posts)The book originally had a holographic cover so that it would be like Mike was in the room with you. But only the non-holographic version is available now, "For Correctional Facility Shipping ONLY". Under "Products related to this item" is a laminated quick-study guide to the DSM-5-TR, which is "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders 5-TR". That seems appropriate.
I was trying to see whether it was self-published and the page count to roughly calculate how much it's costing him per copy when he's buying them up with campaign funds. The publisher is "Lindell Publishing" so probably self-published but no page count listed. It costs me around $4 per copy for author sales of my book so figure that may be what it's costing him, in which case he bought around 46,000 copies. If he is doing a retail buy, that would be about 13,000 copies and he's making a couple dollars profit on each. He must be doing a retail buy because he can't possibly have the space to store 46K books.

(18,063 posts)by a margin that no one has ever seen. Trump counted the votes and don't bring up election fraud. He knows more about it than anyone.

(20,722 posts)It is my guess that NONE of them will make it. The one who does, will lose in November.
No Republican in Minnesota has a chance of winning State or Federal races given what Donnie is doing to make sure we all suffer. Except for Duluth area, the Twin Cities and suburbs, and Rochester, Minnesota is rural. Farmers here are struggling big time! Minnesota has become more DIVERSE in population than when I moved here 50 years ago.
Tom Emmer looks secure enough in the 6th CD, but the rest of the Republican field in Congress are on shaky ground if they continue to stick up for TACO.
