'New Doge/Musk Email Goes Seriously Sideways'

(Musk sent email telling US federal workers: List accomplishments or resign.)

"Over the course of the evening top leadership at the FBI, the State Department, the VA, the Department of the Navy (to its civilian employees) and other parts of the government have explicitly instructed employees in their departments and agencies to ignore the email. Meanwhile the DOJ seems to be instructing its employees to follow it. (And yes, FBI is sort of under DOJ and that’s kind of weird but that’s where we are.)"

"It’s important to note that these emails are authorized or allowed if not directed by the President of the United States. And yet whole wings of the government are saying to ignore it. I mentioned to someone this evening that they’re treating a presidentially authorized email as some kind of insider threat."

"But here you have seemingly the first time where his own appointees are pushing back and in a fairly public way."

1. If everyone but the DOJ stooges ignores him from here on, what can he do?

That's the only way to neuter his destruction.

You want to stop these idiots? Don't do what they want. Let them throw a tantrum.

Drag the fuckers into court and then stall, stall, stall. (It has been the oligarch/wealthy tactic of choice since the beginning.)

IF (Huge 'if' here) the top brass of the military also follows suit, they have no muscle to make anyone do anything.

THEN, we see what happens. (The legit armed forces are not the only 'army' that bunch has...)

2. AND PS: haven't we all had that imbecile boss who pulled this the first month after he was hired?

I take comfort in recalling that all the times I saw this, the imbecile was gone pretty quickly afterwards.

It's a red flag for "dumbass."

I'm not buying President Musk's "genius" reputation for a second. He's a nepo emerald mine heir who got lucky once playing with Daddy's money. That's why the felon thinks he's smart. The felon never managed to get lucky with Daddy's money.

He merged X w PayPal. Took the money from paypal, ~$150 million and put it into Tesla (didn't found it), Solar City (which his cousin ran) and Space X. He had a good roll for his first 8-10 years, but lately less so.

3. My daughter is a civilian employee of the DOD. She got one of these e-mails.

She's in contracting, and some of her work could be considered secret, but she'll probably comply because her management is not directing her to do otherwise, and 2 people in her section have already been let go.

6. This is a trick email to get people fired

That's why it was sent out on Saturday, in hopes a lot of people won't see it and will not respond, and will get fired.
