With the Democratic Party in shambles, Trump and his Project 2025 team are taking advantage of the disarray to launch a full-blown coup. BTRTN thinks now is the moment for a gutsy Democrat to become the voice that unifies and inspires the opposition party… by announcing a run for the White House in 2028:

Think of all the time they had to destroy Hillary's reputation.

Sometimes, it's best to enter the race later as the "fresh new face," after your competition has been out there for a while.

That having been said, the Democrats need new leadership, especially in the Senate.

I certainly agree that your comment reflects the traditional thinking on when to announce a candidacy. My point, I suppose, is that given the urgency of Trump/Musk's assault on our government, this is not the time for traditional tactics... and we don't have time to wait. Someone has to stand up and be the voice of the opposition now.
