More than one million federal employees replied to DOGE's productivity email.
That is less than half of the federal government, which employs over 2.4 million people.
The initial email request was met with confusion, with some agencies telling staff not to respond.
The White House said on Tuesday that less than half of all federal employees responded to an email from the Office of Personnel Management asking them to send in a list of their accomplishments.
"I can announce that we have had more than one million workers who have chosen to participate in this very simple task of, again, sending five bullet points to your direct supervisor or manager, cc'ing OPM," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
"All federal workers should be working at the same pace that President Trump is working and moving," Leavitt added.

(974 posts)I love this quote "All federal workers should be working at the same pace that President Trump is working and moving," Leavitt added.
Are they referring to his golfing days? To the dats he attends sports events? To the huge amounts of unaccountable time in his calendar?
If actual personal work had anything to do with maintaining federal employment, Cheato would have been first on the fire list.

(69,746 posts)"hard work", their own, as opposed to that of all the people whose labor they're exploiting.
Granted, before Dubyah and Trump came along, the Presidency was a very difficult job, with long hours, and a chronically-packed schedule. But that was then; these shitbirds don't do any more work than they can possibly get away with, just like all of the other business robber-barons out there. Some performative busy-ness for the cameras, then it's off to the golf course.

So, in other words, they should be golfing on the job 2~3 times a week, and attending sporting events on the taxpayers' dime

(6,614 posts)I wonder who they are hiring to read these emails?
I also wonder if they fired the people who can know federal employees and are using this ploy to locate them. Ok, thats a bit sarcastic, but the sledgehammer approach could well have destroyed the lines of communication
