I still dragged myself to the grocery store tonight. Grandson took me, so he could read the high up and heavy items for me (no climbing the shelves for once!). Don't know if it helps or not, since I went tonight, but among the three of us here in the house, no one is buying anything tomorrow. Hubby went out this morning for critter food. I've got enough leftovers for grandson to take to work for lunch, so he won't have to buy anything, either. He's gungho about the boycott friday plan.

Told him there was a possibility if this one didn't work so well, we might go for a week-long buy-nothing plan. As long as I can get menus ready and to the store before that happens, it'll work for us. Gotta have hubs plan better on the critter food (especially the fancy feast!).

BTW... I nearly fell over when grandson pointed out the price of eggs! The cheapest were 9.89 for 12. The most expensive was 21.00 for 18. AND they were "on sale!" AND the shelves were cleaned out. We found one 6 pack of eggs for about $5.00 and got that one. Between meat and eggs, crap... there goes my protein! I did buy some canned black beans and we may be doing a lot of substitution of beans for meat. Our little SS check doesn't cover prices like this!
