Americans of all political persuasions should oppose Mike Lee's schemes to loot, plunder, and privatize our public lands

He is zealously opposed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, but Seattle expatriate Christopher Rufo recently delivered a red flag warning after vile schemes to sell off public lands — our lands — were unveiled by would-be plunderer Mike Lee.
“Nobody is going to build ‘affordable housing’ deep in the Olympic Peninsula, which is one of the most beautiful places in the country,” Rufo posted recently. “I want my kids hiking, camping and fishing on those lands, not selling them for some tax-credit scam.”
It was a more on-target message than any of the hyperbole-laden, send-us-money messages from national environmental organizations.
We need to get directly involved in protecting lands that belong to us, and what makes western North America a livable, not-yet-used up stretch of the planet.
